How it works:  a purposeful alternative to panhandling

We print a bi-weekly social justice newspaper. People experiencing homelessness train and receive a badge and 10 free papers. Vendors can choose where to sell and when to sell. Sales ideas, biweekly meetings, housing navigation, partner organizations, and fantastic volunteers in an office open 6 days a week provide a supportive community to succeed.

Vendors grow their micro-businesses by purchasing more copies for $.50, which they sell on the street for $2.00. This is the vendors' money to keep. Free papers, gear and map badges (reserved locations) incentivize vendors to grow their micro-businesses.

You dignify their efforts by buying and taking the paper, which honors the investment they have made in their own abilities, provides immediate income, and incentives their path towards independence.
